What are the responsibilities and job description for the MS Principal position at Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District?
The Bridgewater-Raynham Regional School District is seeking an Principal of Raynham Middle School, beginning July 1, 2025.
Essential Duties:
- Serve as the instructional leader of an experienced staff and diverse student body
- Demonstrate outstanding educational leadership and administrative skills
- Advocate high expectations for both students and staff
- Ability to communicate well and apply leadership skills within a shared decision making model
- Enhance and sustain a superior learning climate to ensure academic success
- Use data and data analysis to enhance curriculum and instruction
- Complete staff evaluations, budget preparation, and building management
- Demonstrate knowledge of best practices in middle school education
- Design and supervise the master school scheduling process
- Work with district-wide leaders and staff on district issues that include, but are not limited to, DESE compliance reporting, professional development planning, and facility issues
- Co-Chair the School Council and consult with members on the development of the annual school goals, the annual School Improvement Plan, and the annual school budget
- Work with student, faculty, parent, and community groups as needed in relation to educational issues for the school and community;
- Communicate timely and effectively with building staff, appropriate district-wide administration, and parents about important matters involving curricular and extracurricular activities, events, and issues pertaining to policies, procedures, and school safety and climate
- Work with interested staff, students, and parents to enhance public relations and communication efforts to the community about student experiences;
- Other duties that may be assigned by the Superintendent
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field,
- MA Licensure Principal/Assistant Principal
- Minimum 5 year experience teaching at the middle school level
- 3 years experience in a leadership role preferred
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding students in both regular and special education
