What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychotherapist position at Bridgewater Retirement Community?
Eventus WholeHealth is currently seeking an outstanding and energetic Psychotherapist to join the Eventus WholeHealth team, serving residents at the Bridgewater Retirement Community in Bridgewater, VA.
Bridgewater Retirement Community (BRC) is a not-for-profit life plan community that offers a continuum of care for residents of Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support and Long-Term Care. On average, around 550 individuals call BRC home. Everyday the work is resident focused, and the goal of BRC is to build relationships that lead to the best quality of life possible for residents and team members. The work environment is team based and collaborative. As a partner and collaborator with the BRC team, you can enjoy the energy and purpose of improving the quality of life and Well-Being of this community.
If you have a passion for improving the quality of life of others and have experience providing counseling services for older adults, then this may be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
Benefits include flexible hours (daytime, evenings, and weekends available) and a much lower risk of “no shows” as you will be seeing residents in their home environment.
Schedules would be arranged and coordinated by the BRC team and provided to the psychotherapist. Sessions would be conducted in the private rooms or apartments of the residents or in a private space on the BRC campus. The BRC team would also obtain consents for service, a summary of the need for services and arrange an introduction. In many cases a cognitive assessment would be available to assist with the evaluation and plan of care.
We are looking for a dedicated, reliable, consistent and holistic-focused individual with effective communication skills, who will work closely with the BRC team in serving the needs of the community. The ideal candidate would offer recommendations to the team for care planning purposes, as needed, and would consult with a psychiatrist who also serves the community. There may be potential opportunities regarding the topics of mental health and psychological well-being, including group counseling sessions for residents, counseling for team members, and educational presentations.
