We are seeking a Manager, Cost Containment to join us as an Individual Contributor specializing in medical cost containment to join our growing Sales & Marketing organization at Bridgeway Benefit Technologies. The Manager, Cost Containment is the cost containment expert responsible for proactively identifying and driving cost containment solution opportunities for our customers.
As a hands-on Manager, Cost Containment, you will be responsible for establishing the cost containment line of business by conducting detailed claims data analysis that you will use to engage with our customers to present and promote cost savings opportunities for their business. The Manager, Cost Containment is highly results driven with an analytical mindset and has mastered the art of storytelling through numbers to convey a bottom-line impact to our customers. The Manager, Cost Containment is the trusted expert related to our cost containment solutions and stays with the customer throughout the sales journey from start to finish.
This is a remote position with occasional travel <10%. East coast candidates preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Research and actively sell cost containment solutions to meet our customers' business needs.
- Conduct initial outreach to spark interest, pitching the potential benefits of our cost containment solution.
- Provide consultation and savings analysis of claims data for customers with a focus on out-of-network (OON) claims.
- Analyze savings opportunities by reviewing claims history, contract terms (e.g., JAA contracts), No Surprises Act implications, claims editing, and payment accuracy and trends.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for customers, showing potential savings and ROI.
- Present findings to customers and collaborate to implement the cost containment solution.
- Work closely with internal teams and vendor partners (e.g., Zelis) to ensure smooth integration of services.
- Track customer engagement and sales progress toward reaching key scalable milestones.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and support long-term adoption of the solution.
Requirements:
- 10 years' experience in a customer-facing role within the healthcare, insurance, or benefits administration industry
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis, preferably in healthcare claims
- Health claims processing knowledge; preferably with out-of-network claims, medical billing, and cost containment strategies (837, EDI)
- Familiarity with industry regulations, such as the No Surprises Act
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to succinctly explain complex data analysis to customers
- Ability to effectively collaborate with vendor partners and internal teams to deliver comprehensive solutions
- Sales and negotiation skills preferred (lead generation not required as opportunities are already identified)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and claims analysis software/tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
