Position: Access Specialist
Employment Status: Full-Time (FT)
Position Summary:
Bridgeway Center, Inc. (BCI) is seeking applicants who want to work in an outpatient setting for adults, children, family, Mental Health (MH) and Substance Abuse (SA) services. Applicants must be outgoing, like working with the public, and welcome BCI’s clients cheerfully while providing superior customer service. Must have the ability to multi-task and always remain professional to ensure that each client walks away having had a positive and helpful therapeutic experience.
The Access Specialist is responsible for providing reception and administrative duties, which include greeting clients and other visitors, answering phones, and BCI answering inquiries. The Access Specialist demonstrates excellent customer service skills and professionalism when interacting with difficult clients/patients. The Access Specialist obtains client data and ensures that all information collected is accurate. This includes entering the information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR) in a timely manner and updating established clients’ information as needed. The Access Specialist schedules and verifies routine client appointments, reschedule appointments as necessary, notifies clients/patients of previous balances, obtains daily schedules, and makes return client/patient appointments as necessary. The Access Specialist maintains strict client confidentiality, assists with all filing as needed, collects payment with cash or processes credit card payments for services, and provides receipts. The Access Specialist balances/reconciles their cash drawer daily.

Have the ability to collaborate and communicate with BCI departments and external stakeholders. Minimum Requirements:
· High School (HS) Diploma OR GED.
Bilingual/bicultural English and Spanish preferred, but not required.

Duties / Responsibilities:
Some of the job tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Answer the telephone.
· Greet patients and other visitors to the office.
· Obtain patient information, making sure all patient information is correct.
· Enter patient information into the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Update established patients’ information as needed. Ensure timely and accurate entry of data.
· Schedule and verify routine patient appointments.
· Notify patients of previous balances.
· Reschedule appointments as necessary.
· Observe strict patient confidentiality.
· Process credit card payments as necessary.
· Collect payment for services and provide receipts. Balance / reconcile drawer daily.

Work Location: Primary Work Location – Crestview (CV) / Travel to BCI’s Fort Walton Beach (FWB) Location is Required as Needed
Wage The wage for this position is $16.00 per hour
