Summary : The Classroom Aide / Driver 3 transports individuals safely to and from day service programs as their Driver. As an Aide, duties include developing, implementing, and supervising a training program designed to meet each individual's needs, case management of designated individuals, and participation in general duties.
Schedule : 8 : 00AM-4 : 00PM Monday-Friday (40 Hours)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Work with and train individuals on specific day service plan objectives.
- Responsible for data collection of goals of each individual.
- Responsible for daily documentation of medical data or target behaviors.
- Participate in all general programmatic duties (arrivals, breaks, lunches, departures).
- Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of the program, follow the cleaning schedule, and report any maintenance issues.
- Protect each individual's rights and maintain confidentiality of any information relative to people.
- Complete any administrative duties as assigned.
- Participate in all required meetings.
- Maintain all appropriate certifications including FA / CPR and PABC.
- Assist all individuals in entering and exiting the vehicle and ensure all individuals have properly secured seatbelts.
- Interact with patience and sensitivity in all contact with individuals, family members, staff, and others.
- Operate the vehicle at all times within all federal, state, and local laws.
- Have good knowledge of routes and locations of all houses, day facilities, and emergency locations.
- Maintain and carry emergency fact sheets, daily attendance, and trip route sheets.
- Complete a quick vehicle safety checklist before beginning your assigned route and report any issues to your supervisor immediately.
- Immediately notify the supervisor of any variance in route time exceeding 15 minutes.
- Maintain all required certifications
