Drafting Technician
Position Summary
The Drafting Technician plays an important role in our daily operations by utilizing Autodesk Fusion 360 CAD to create detailed drawings of cabinets, doors, and other products. In addition to reviewing orders, custom quoted cabinets, and updated catalogs, the Drafting Technician may also be tasked with developing other CAD designs as requested by leadership. This individual is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of product dimensions and identifying any quality issues in CNC Programming. By utilizing our in-house custom CNC Software, the Drafting Technician is able to address and correct any quality issues before products are manufactured, ultimately preventing returns. This position is essential in upholding our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers.

Monday - Friday
8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
(Two paid ten-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break.)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Creating CAD drawings of cabinet, doors, ect., or as requested by leadership.
- Draw and document: CQC cabinets, provide detailed cut lists, material assignments, and CNC programming
- Responsible for entering cut lists and resolving programming issues in our custom CNC software utilizing spreadsheets.
- Reviewing orders, custom quoted cabinets, and updated catalogs for measurements issues or possible programming issues.
- Providing support in design and production.
- Responsible for utilizing a variety of software that is in-house, Autodesk Fusion 360 CAD, Cut-Rite Nesting, Microsoft, and PDF Creator.
- Communicating and networking with different department leadership to convey changes to programming or findings you have found.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- 2 Year Experience utilizing Autodesk fusion 360 CAD
- 2 Year Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel/Libre Office/Open Office
- 2 Years Experience utilizing a PDF Creator Software
- Ability to pick up in-house software quickly and efficiently
- Advanced math skills – geometry and algebra are helpful
- Comfortable and experience working with computers.
- Ability to type 60-80 words per minute efficiently
- Ability to visualize parts for programming and drawings
- Highly efficient organizational and filing skills
- Ability to communicate efficiently
- In order to be considered for this position, candidates are required to possess a valid driver's license, pass an MVR Report screening, and be willing to regularly drive between buildings to network with departments regarding QC errors.
