What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Behavior Technician-Newton position at Bridging Independent Living Together Inc.?
We are looking for an individual to join our team as a Weekend Behavior Technician (or Registered Behavior Technician)-Newton for home clients!
We are a non-profit organization looking to add behavioral staff to our in home and in community programs. We work with individuals from age 4 all throughout adulthood with many of our individuals being between the ages of 14 and 30 years old.
We provide ongoing training and support to our employees, can provide supervised hours for BACB licensure if needed, and pay between $28 to $34 per hour. We utilize naturalistic and incidental teaching methods and our services focus on building skills the individual will need throughout their life. There is lots of room for growth as we continue creating programs and program models!
Examples of common goals we work on are volunteering goals, exercise goals, learning how to navigate the community, life skills goals and work collaboratively with families to assess, identify and create a plan on achieving the individuals' goals. Our goals are to always keep the individual at the center of all programming.
We are looking for candidates willing to commit 10-16 hours between Saturday and Sunday in the Newton area. We are also open to a staff member open to servicing other areas (besides Newton) if the opportunities present themselves.
Responsibilities include:
- Skill building of ADL's and IADL's
- In home direct care for an individual with intellectual and or developmental disabilities.
- Community based skill building.
- Providing respite care to the guardians of the individual.
- Maintain a professional relationship with the family and maintain positive rapport with the individual.
Salary : $28 - $34
