Bridging The Gap (BTG) educates citizens, businesses and governments about the impact their decisions have on our environment. We help them follow through with direct action to make our world, region and community green, healthy and sustainable.
BTG does this by working to create awareness of our environment and the need to make our communities sustainable at every level and in all life activities -- in homes, workplaces, schools and neighborhoods. In all of our work, we seek to create partnerships among governments, businesses, community leaders and individuals to improve our community by making it healthy and sustainable for our future.

Bridging The Gap volunteers will educate event attendees about recycling and composting by staffing a recycling station and directing attendees to place their items in the correct bins.

Location Red Bridge Shopping Center (we will send specific parking and meet-up directions by email a couple days before the event)
Volunteer Shift 8-10 30 AM

Our goal is for none of the waste produced at the event to go into the landfill, making it a "zero-waste-to-landfill" event!
Volunteers will be provided gloves and litter-grabbers to remove any material that is inadvertently put into the wrong bin. We will train you on-site. All volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
