Bridging Gap USA is currently seeking certified teachers with excellent math skills to join our team as Math Tutors for students in middle and/or high school. As a tutor, you will play a crucial role in helping students improve their math abilities and achieve academic success.
This position is part-time and requires availability after school hours, as well as Saturday mornings if needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide small group tutoring sessions in math subjects.
- Create customized lesson plans and teaching materials based on each student's unique needs and learning style.
- Identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to help students overcome challenges in math.
- Explain complex math concepts in a clear and understandable manner, using various teaching methods and resources.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Track and maintain accurate records of each student's progress and tutoring sessions.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and school staff to provide updates on student performance.
Requirements:
- Valid teaching certification (state or nationally recognized).
- Strong proficiency in math, with in-depth knowledge of Middle and High School math curriculum.
- Experience teaching or tutoring math to Middle and High School
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Flexibility to work after school hours and on Saturday mornings, as required.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed academically.
