POSITION SUMMARY
As a Regional Sales Manager for Bridor, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing all sales activities within your designated region. Your primary objective will be to drive growth, expand market presence, identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and foster long-term relationships with key clients. With your expertise in sales and business development, you will lead initiatives to penetrate new markets and position our bakery products as preferred choices among customers.
TERRITORY : Minneapolis-St. Paul, Twin Cities Area
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Sales Development - Collaborate with the sales team and VP to develop comprehensive sales strategies and business development plans aligned with company objectives. Identify market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer insights to inform strategic decision-making.
New Business Acquisitions - Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region through prospecting, networking, and market research. Develop and implement effective strategies to acquire new accounts and expand the customer base.
Strategic Partnerships - Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with distributors, retailers, and other key stakeholders to increase market penetration and drive sales growth. Collaborate with partners to develop mutually beneficial business relationships and promotional campaigns.
Client Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including restaurants, cafes, convenience stores, coffee chains, supermarkets, and foodservice providers. Understand their needs, preferences, and challenges to provide tailored solutions and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Market Expansion - Explore opportunities to expand into new geographical areas or market segments within the region. Evaluate market demand and competition to assess feasibility and mitigate risks associated with expansion initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment of sales efforts with overall business objectives. Provide input on product positioning, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to drive sales growth.
Industry Networking - Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility, build professional relationships, and stay abreast of industry trends and developments.
Ability to work independently from a home office.
Minimum 40-hour work week, plus occasional weekends, with travel as needed (40-60%).
Willingness to sample large amounts of the world’s best Danishes, Croissants, and Breads.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years – wholesale, retail, foodservice experience, CPG
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or certification in culinary preferred
Proven experience in sales management within the bakery or food industry, with a track record of successfully achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market trends and develop effective sales strategies
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and building long-term relationships
Proficiency in sales forecasting, budgeting, and data analysis
Willingness to travel within the assigned geography
Familiarity with CRM software and other sales management tools
High level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
TECHNICAL SKILLS NEEDED
Strong computer skills – Teams, OneNote, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
Experience using sales tracking software
Strong communication skills, sales planning, industry, and product knowledge
Follow all safety, health, environmental, and company rules
Knowledge of HACCP, GMPs, and BRC
