Job Responsibilities:
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the periodontist with periodontal surgical procedures, including implants, bone grafts, and gum surgeries, ensuring patient comfort and smooth operation.
- Clinical Preparation: Set up the operatory for periodontal surgeries, maintain sterile environments, and handle dental radiographs (X-rays) and impressions for diagnostic purposes.
- Patient Care & Education: Prepare patients for treatment, monitor their vital signs during procedures, and provide detailed pre- and post-operative care instructions.
- Surgical Support: Assist with the placement of dental implants, handle surgical materials, and support the application of local anesthesia under supervision (if certified).
- Administrative Tasks: Keep accurate patient records, assist with scheduling, and manage insurance billing and ordering of specialized materials.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of dental equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Post-Operative Follow-up: Assist in managing post-surgical follow-ups and address any patient concerns.
- Office Cleaning: Assist with office cleaning tasks to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Position Requirements:
- At least 1 year of dental assisting experience
- Certification in taking X-rays and coronal polishing
- Must maintain an active CPR certification
