At Briess Malt & Ingredients Co., we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Controls Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in project management, engineering, and facilities operations.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for directing, coordinating, and administering engineering and project management functions to improve or maintain the physical structures, equipment, utilities, and facilities at our site. This includes planning major projects, developing cost estimates, obtaining quotes, preparing capital expenditure requests, and participating in capital budgeting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop FEL (front-end loading) design and planning documents to ensure project schedule, cost, and performance criteria are met.
- Evaluate existing equipment and process technology and systematically upgrade capabilities to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and production requirements.
- Support the development of preventative and predictive maintenance programs, critical spares analysis, and other reliability efforts.
- Lead or support improvements in process controls systems (SCADA) to meet operational objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline and 7-10 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous project engineering experience is required, with experience in plant reliability, Lean/continuous improvement, AutoCAD, or similar software preferred.
