PARTS AND FACILITIES TECHNICIAN

POSITION SUMMARY
The Parts and Facilities Technician is responsible for providing parts management (picking, shipping, receiving) and supporting all aspects of facilities management. This is an entry level position.
Reports To: Parts and Inventory Manager; works closely with production staff
RESPONSIBLITES include but are not limited to:
Parts Assistant
§ Review customer orders and select proper parts from inventory.
§ Pack and ship orders, ensuring products are packed for safe transport.
§ Physically receive deliveries, ensures accurate count and shelves.
§ Support inventory management in warehouse and counting of parts Cycle counts.
§ Pull parts for boats in various stages of production or based on assembly station.
§ Maintain orderly parts room. Labels shelves/parts.
§ Maintain tool room and hardware/fastener area.
§ Ensure all hulls/boats are tagged with hull ID and other identifying characteristics.
§ Assist with the movement of boat and hull inventory, including moving around warehouse, loading on trailers and unloading from shipping containers.
§ Cleans boats in preparation for delivery.
§ Picking up and delivering goods in company vehicles.
§ Order tools at the direction of the Production Manager
§ Other duties as assigned.
Facilities Maintenance
§ Provide building upkeep including sweeping, cleaning, Zamboni, general maintenance and trash removal
§ Pickup supplies as needed
§ Assist with other projects around facility as required
§ Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:
· High School diploma or GED
· Work experience in boat or auto parts, preference
· Problem-solving and time management skills.
· Ability to self-motivate and work independently
