Position Overview:As the Automotive Finance Director, you will be responsible for managing the finance department, including a team of at least three finance producers. You will work closely with the sales and management teams to ensure the success of the finance department, optimizing the finance process, and driving profitability. In addition to overseeing the department, this role is a spinning director position, meaning you will also directly interact with customers as a producer, assisting them with financing options and helping close deals.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the entire finance department, ensuring all finance processes are efficient, compliant, and customer-focused.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance producers to achieve department goals.
Review and approve all finance deals, ensuring they meet company standards and are in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Build and maintain strong relationships with lending institutions and manufacturers to secure competitive financing options for customers.
Work directly with customers to understand their financing needs, provide options, and close deals.
Monitor and report on the department’s performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
Ensure excellent customer service is provided throughout the finance process.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, financial products, and changes in regulations that affect the finance department.
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive finance and sales at a dealership, with a proven track record of success.
Strong Leadership Skills With Experience Managing a Team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
Knowledge of the automotive finance industry, including finance products, lending regulations, and best practices.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales and finance goals.
Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude and a drive for success.
