Production Manager oversees and directs production activities, ensuring targets are met, quality standards maintained, and workflows are efficient, while also managing staff, implementing safety protocols, and collaborates with other office manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Coordination: Oversee and coordinate production activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Forklift Operation: Production Manager will spend majority of their day operating forklift to deliver building materials to workstations, remove completed builds, load and unload flatbed and box trucks for deliveries and arrivals, and more.
- Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet targets and deadlines.
- Staff Management: Manage, train, and evaluate production staff, addressing performance issues and ensuring a positive work environment.
- Quality Control: Monitor production processes and products to ensure they meet quality standards, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Resource Management: Monitor inventory levels, communicate with office manager to initiate purchase orders, and ensure efficient use of resources and equipment.
- Reporting and Communication: Prepare reports on production performance, communicate updates to management, and collaborate with office manager.
- Troubleshooting: Address and resolve production issues and bottlenecks, ensuring minimal downtime and delays.
Other duties include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising operations within a facility to achieve higher output
- Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively and endure physical labor throughout the workday.
- Organizing training and education for production team
- Assisting in the recruitment and onboarding of new hires
- Ensuring compliance with safety and professional standards within a facility
- Organizing, monitoring, and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals
- Evaluating various stations of the production operation to ensure optimum efficiency
- Ensuring the flow of raw materials and other resources
- Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment
- IT skills, especially using data analysis software
- Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic
- Ability to create and adhere to production processes
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
