We are seeking a Cafe Manager with a concentration in kitchen management and supervision. The Cafe Manager supervises all staff, delegating tasks and making sure things are running smoothly. This position requires a concentration in BOH duties, and applicants should feel comfortable working in a kitchen similar to other fast food style cafés (think Panera).
Due to our small-business nature, we are free to create new recipes with the seasons, and encourage applicants who think creatively and are passionate about their work to apply. We are looking for someone who is open to new ideas and always looking for ways to improve. Pay will be based on experience and management skills.
Position Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day front and back of house duties and staff
- Work line/ Expo as needed during high volume
- Create recipes and maintain food quality
- Update staff on seasonal changes and news
- Create weekly staff schedule
- Maintain inventory and weekly orders
- Receive truck orders several times a week
- Work with FOH assistant manager to improvement work flow
- Be able to problem-solve and communicate well with all staff
- Meet with other store managers to keep updated on events, pop-ups, etc
Position Requirements:
- Previous experience managing / supervising a team
- Previous experience working in the food service industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, ServSafe certified a plus
- Flexible schedule with full availability through the spring season
- Ability to stand on your feet for long hours, go up/down stairs, lift 30 lbs
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
