Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of plants including but not limited to: clipping, mowing, hedging, vacuuming, shading, dead pulling, plant condensing, plant movement, weeding, and transplanting
- Crop protection, greenhouse venting (opening/closing doors), tool and equipment maintenance/cleaning
- Breakout and separate/ grade plants
- Assist with on and off load plant containers from carts/ trailers
- Jobs and tasks will change based on the seasonal needs of the plants
- Work in other departments as needed/instructed to meet company objectives
- Miscellaneous work may include driving farm tractors and other equipment
- Take part and uphold Nursery Cleanliness Guidelines
Qualification Requirements:
- Must have excellent attendance history.
- Able to work well with others in small groups.
- Able to work independently or in a team setting
- Able to work extra hours as required to meet department objectives.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as the department handbook, work assignments and safety rules.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in extremes of Washington weather (hot, cold, rain, wind)
- Must be able to repeatedly bend and lift objects from ground level (20-50 lbs).
- Must be able to squat, sit, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, or stand for extended periods of time.
- Tolerant of doing repetitive tasks when required.
- Must be able to wear a face mask for your daily shift (if not COVID19 vaccinated)
Hours: Monday- Friday 7:30am-4pm
Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Pay: $16.66 per hour
