The Staff Nurse Will Be Responsible For
- Providing care for patients at the BWH main campus
- Telephone Triage of GYN patients in GYN clinic
- Communicating with and providing nursing care to GYN patients via Patient Gateway
- Nurse Visits to administer injections and/or provide patient education on GYN topics
- Working collaboratively to provide excellent care to patients and families in the safest environment
Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing with current registration in Massachusetts. A Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is required for newly licensed nurses.
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience is required.
- Clinical GYN nursing experience is required.
- Nursing experience in an ambulatory clinic/practice setting is required.
- Bilingual is preferred.
- Membership in professional organizations is recommended and certification in a specialty area is preferred.
- Able to work weekend rotation per the MNA contract.
- The RN must show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.
- Must demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities.
- Must be able to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must demonstrate effective skills in applying hospital standards in area of service, teamwork, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management.
