The unit is devoted to the care of the acutely ill medical patient. The patient population on this unit includes a diverse mix of medical diagnoses requiring complex nursing care. The unit is in search of a highly motivated and dedicated individual with Day shift availability to join our team as a Full-time Patient Care Associate (PCA) in the Medical Unit.We are only considering full-time Night shift applicants for this opportunity.QualificationsWhat are we looking for?

• Assisting the healthcare team, the PCA promotes a safe and caring environment for patients under the mentorship of an RN.
• PCA assists patients with daily living needs, monitoring & reading vital signs, drawing blood, and obtaining EKGs. Responds to patient requests in a timely manner, safeguarding patient confidentiality, monitoring patient safety, and always communicating in a respectful manner.
• Effective customer service orientation and the ability to interact with diverse groups of patients, staff and providers.
• Demonstrated ability to solve basic patient and practice problems using a combination of strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
• Ability to lift and transport patients, using the appropriate physical technique, in a safe manner for the patient and self.Schedule
• 7pm-7am, 11pm-7am
