Essential Functions
- Determines appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patients condition to obtain quality images for radiologists; this level may provide an advanced clinical level of patient care
- Prepares patients for diagnostic procedures which may include transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and position patients
- Explains procedures to patients taking into consideration physical and emotional needs
- Records digital images as directed for radiologist interpretation
- Maintains pertinent records
- Provides radiation protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards
- May provide assistance to Radiology Technologist Students and new staff in performing Radiologic exams, sterile technique, and proper stocking of supplies in radiographic rooms
Education
- Associate's degree in Diagnostic Imaging required

Radiologic Technologist [MA License] required
Registered Technologist [ARRT-R] - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred
Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] preferred
