Working very independently and under very general supervision from a manager or Principal Investigator, provides support to clinical research studies. May be responsible for the following activities: assessing the suitability of potential participants for clinical trials, scheduling, data input, oversight of regulatory submissions, and collaboration within departments as well as with outside institutions.

PRINCIPALDUTIESANDRESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinatestheimplementation,bothinternallyandexternally,ofsponsoredclinicalresearchstudies.
- Initiates and maintains contact with study participants.Responsible for screening applicants, ensuringtheymeetappropriatecriteria,andassessingthesuitabilityof their participation.
- Maintainsthestudydatabase.Responsiblefordatainput and upkeep.
- Review of billing and financial status of various research protocols.
- InconjunctionwithResearchManager/PrincipalInvestigator,developsandimplementsnew research protocols including data collection systems and institutional review boardapproval.
- All other duties asassigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BSORBA
- Abilitytoworkindependently.
- Excellentinterpersonalskillsarerequiredforworkingwiththestudyparticipants.
- Goodoral andwritten communicationskills.
- Analyticalskillsandtheabilitytoresolvetechnicalorresearchproblemsandissuesandtointerpret the acceptability of data results.
- Knowledge of clinical researchprotocols.
- Highdegree ofcomputerliteracy.
- Excellentorganizational skillsand abilityto prioritizea varietyoftasks.
- Carefulattentiontodetail.
- Abilitytodemonstrateprofessionalismandrespectforsubjectsrightsandindividualneeds.
- Knowledgeofdatamanagementprograms.
Potential to assist in trainingandorientingnewstaff.
Lifting/ carrying of equipment. Walking/ standing for long periods of time. Bending to examine patients' extremities.
