About the Role
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technologist to provide high-quality patient-centered care by assisting staff during operative and invasive procedures in the Operating Room at Brigham City Community Hospital.
- The ideal candidate will be competent in AORN standards for scrub technician activities, working closely with Housekeeping and Central Processing staff to maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Responsibilities include verifying correct surgery identification, participating in safety initiatives, and relying on previous experience to anticipate and meet the needs of the surgeon.
- The successful candidate will also count sponges, needles, and instruments with the circulating RN on all surgical procedures and adhere to facility policies and protocols.
- This role requires excellent communication and teamwork skills to assist the patient care team in maintaining a safe and efficient patient care environment.
Qualifications
- Required: BLS or BCLS Certification
- Preferred: Surgical Technologist Certificate (CST) or equivalent
- Required: Completion of surgical technologist course or comparable experience
- Preferred: One year of surgical technologist experience
The estimated annual salary for this position is $62,000 - $82,000, based on location and experience.
