Job Summary And Qualifications
As the Patient Admitting Representative you will use impeccable customer service skills to initially greet all patients and family members and assist them with registering as they arrive in the unit. We work hard to support the patients in our community and each other, and are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:

Job Summary And Qualifications
As the Patient Admitting Representative you will use impeccable customer service skills to initially greet all patients and family members and assist them with registering as they arrive in the unit. We work hard to support the patients in our community and each other, and are looking for someone who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role:
- You will welcome the patient and family members in a professional and courtesy manner and contact the nursing staff for emergency medical needs and/or questions.
- You will interview patients at the workstation or bedside to obtain all necessary information as it relates to their insurance and prenatal care.
- You will ensure all signatures necessary for treatments, release of medical information, assignment of insurance benefits, and payment of services from legally responsible parties. Obtain copies of necessary identification and insurance cards.
- You will notify other units of special needs under the direction of the department Supervisor. You will prepare and organize paperwork/charts and may respond to call bells from rooms, and notify appropriate staff of the patient’s needs.
- Basic Knowledge of Medical terminology preferred.
- One year of experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification (available after hire)
- High School Graduate / GED
