About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Surgical Technician to join our team at Brigham City Community Hospital. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care during operative and invasive procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist staff during operative and invasive procedures while maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
- Ensure the operating room is adequately prepared for procedures and act as a preceptor for other techs as needed.
- Work with Housekeeping and Central Processing staff to clean the Operating Rooms and equipment between patients following facility policies and procedures.
- Participate in safety initiatives to ensure correct surgery identification, verification of the procedure to be performed within the OR when the patient is present and prior to the surgical prep.
- Count all sponges, needles and instruments with the circulating RN on all surgical procedures done in the Operating Room following facility policies and procedures.
