The Cafe Cashier is responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling cashiering duties, maintaining a clean cafeteria environment, and ensuring supplies are well-stocked. This role is essential in delivering a positive dining experience for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Process customer purchases, handle cash transactions, and reconcile the register at the end of shifts.
Stock and replenish cafeteria items (e.g., coffee, cooler items, salad bar supplies) according to department standards.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, servery, tray return areas, and cafeteria equipment.
Prepare and break down catering orders as needed.
Uphold HACCP and cash handling standards.
Address customer needs and resolve issues with a friendly and positive attitude.
Report concerns, discrepancies, or shortages to the supervisor.
Actively contribute to achieving department goals for customer satisfaction.
Attend meetings, training, and in-services as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and maintain a clean, organized environment.
- Basic math skills and cash handling experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
