What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spanish Interpreter position at Brigham & Women's Faulkner Hospital?
- Associate degree preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- National Certification preferred.
- Prior training in medical terminology and interpreting skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, and Spanish required.
- Healthcare-related experience in a position of direct patient contact.
- Knowledge of culture-specific care.
- Two years of healthcare-related experience in a position of direct patient contact preferred.
- Staff adheres to all I CARE Standards
- Strong ability to concentrate, detail oriented and possess cultural sensitivity regarding their patient, transmits all information as accurately as possible.
- Strong linguistic and interpreting skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills in difficult and demanding situations.
- Ability to follow directions with minimal supervision.
- High level of customer service and team building.
