Certification Details BLS ARRT COVID-19 Vaccine MMR Influenza Vaccine TB Test Health Statement Fit Test Job Details Level 1 trauma and Siemen’s experience is required Under general supervision and following established procedures, operates CT equipment to acquire images for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Staff will be required to float among radiology clinics and divisions associated with BWH as needed. Operates CT equipment to obtain diagnostic images and information according to departmental protocol. Explains exam to patient taking into consideration physical and emotional needs; maintains ethical standards (patient confidentiality, professional conduct, etc.). Delivers patient care under scope of license / training. To maintain effective working relations and communication with departmental and other hospital personnel. Calibrate and verify the operation of all equipment to be used during the work day. To notify appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions and repairs needed. Execute paperwork and Radiology Information System functions as necessary for each patient exam. Performs venipuncture for purposes of contrast administration under the direction of a radiologist. Attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintains appropriate CEU's in accordance with Massachusetts State Licensure and A.R.R.T. requirements. Job Requirements Must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic technology. Possess a current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license. Be Registered or eligible for certification in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent is required. Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT or equivalent CT certification and registration within one year of start of employment. 2-3 years experience as a Radiologic technologist preferred with at least one year in cross-sectional anatomy courses. Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and / or emotional stress. Must possess analytical abilities necessary to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of imaging processes, techniques, and procedures and cross sectional anatomy. Schedule Information Rotates within department, divisions and all off site clinics, by shifts as required and needed; cooperates with all personnel, promoting harmony within department. Assume responsibilities for on-call coverage and to remain flexible in all shift coverage and overtime situations as necessary. Unit Specific Information Must have documentation of TB skin test screening within 3 months of start date and updated if >
