Job Details
Level 1 trauma and Siemen’s experience is required
Under general supervision and following established procedures, operates CT equipment to acquire images for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
Staff will be required to float among radiology clinics and divisions associated with BWH as needed.
Explains exam to patient taking into consideration physical and emotional needs; maintains ethical standards (patient confidentiality, professional conduct, etc.).
Delivers patient care under scope of license / training.
Calibrate and verify the operation of all equipment to be used during the work day.
To notify appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions and repairs needed.
Execute paperwork and Radiology Information System functions as necessary for each patient exam.
Performs venipuncture for purposes of contrast administration under the direction of a radiologist.
Attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintains appropriate CEU's in accordance with Massachusetts State Licensure and A.R.R.T. requirements.
Job Requirements
MA CT license and ARRT (CT) required
Must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic technology
Possess a current Massachusetts State Radiologic Technologist license
Registered in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent is required
2-3 years experience as a Radiologic technologist preferred with at least one year in cross-sectional anatomy courses
Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients who may be under physical and / or emotional stress
Must possess analytical abilities necessary to acquire and effectively utilize knowledge of imaging processes, techniques, and procedures and cross-sectional anatomy.
Schedule Information
Rotates within department, divisions and all off site clinics, by shifts as required and needed; cooperates with all personnel, promoting harmony within department.
Assume responsibilities for on-call coverage and to remain flexible in all shift coverage and overtime situations as necessary.
Unit Specific Information
Must have documentation of TB skin test screening within 3 months of start date and updated if >
6 month break.

Primary Source Verification of professional license and / or certification, as required for the position. Within 30 days of start date and updated upon expiration. MA Conditional Licenses not accepted.
N95 - within 365 days to start date and updated annually. No fit testing(initial or updates) can be done onsite at any location.
A completed primary COVID-19 vaccination series that is approved by the FDA or the World Health Organization (WHO) OR an up-to-date COVID vaccine if a primary series was never received or completed is required. No exemptions or waivers (religious / medical) will be considered.
