Position Start Date: August 25, 2025
Required Degree: Minimum BA/BFA degree required; Terminal degree (MFA or equivalent) preferred.
The required degree must be completed by the start date.
Experience:
Minimum one year of university-level teaching in Art, or equivalent related experience.
Duties/Expectations:
Teach a range of courses for the Department of Art:
- ART 101 - Intro to Art and Drawing for Non-Majors
- ART 102 - Intro to Art : 2D
- ART 110 - Intro to Painting for Non- Majors
- ART 220 - Introduction to Drawing and Figure Drawing
- ART 215 - Painting Fundamentals
- Courses assigned may be taught day or evening.
- Adjunct faculty will use department-approved syllabi and materials for the courses, and will mentor the students in their class(es).
- In addition to teaching the courses assigned, adjunct faculty are expected to attend department training meetings.
This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
