Job Description
Financial Operations Manager
We are seeking a Financial Operations Manager to join the Ballard Center's leadership team. This position oversees essential operational functions including financial management of endowments and budgets, facilities coordination in a shared space with the Global Business Center, and travel planning compliance. The role requires careful oversight to ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining alignment with university policies and procedures. This is a part-time (17.5 hours per week) on-site position.

Job Description
Financial Operations Manager
We are seeking a Financial Operations Manager to join the Ballard Center's leadership team. This position oversees essential operational functions including financial management of endowments and budgets, facilities coordination in a shared space with the Global Business Center, and travel planning compliance. The role requires careful oversight to ensure efficient use of resources while maintaining alignment with university policies and procedures. What You Will Be Doing In This Position
- Oversee all financial management and reporting for the center including budget, endowment, student facing funds and travel funds
- Provide Workday support to teams and supervisors and create ad hoc financial reports using BOb and Workday
- Assist in resource planning with budget creation for center programs and recommend budget allocations
- Process and approve center expenses, reimbursements, invoicing and payments in Workday
- Manage facilities including office logistics, spaces, equipment/furnishings, and supplies
- Develop and implement travel procedures for the center, including creating travel preapprovals and expense reports
- Hire and oversee a team of Financial Management Specialist students
What qualifies you for this role:
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years office management experience
- Training in Workday systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook)
- Ability to quickly learn new technology applications, processes, and procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring students
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years office and management experience
- Prior knowledge of BYU systems and resources, including Workday
- Experience with university financial services (journal entries, Workday, Simply Travel, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Teams, Box, and Canva
