Job Description
HR Ops Center Specialist (part-time 28 / hours a week)
The HR Operations Specialist will provide HR support to the Supervisor in an office setting, offering guidance and assistance to BYU administrators, faculty, and staff regarding the I-9 processes, reporting requirements, and Workday system navigation. You will help ensure that student hiring and HR-related tasks are processed efficiently and accurately, while providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
What you will be doing in this position :
- I-9 Support : Serve as the first point of contact for BYU administrators, faculty, and staff who have HR-related questions, particularly around I-9 hiring processes and system usage.
- Student Hiring Assistance : Assist BYU personnel in navigating the steps for processing employee I-9's, ensuring that all required forms and processes are completed in a timely manner.
- Workday Support : Provide assistance with Workday HRIS, including helping users with data entry, report generation, and troubleshooting common Workday issues related to student employment and the Unified Collaborative Units across campus.
- Report Generation : Generate and distribute HR-related reports (student hiring, create positions, move workers etc.) from Workday, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with university policies.
- Problem Resolution : Help resolve issues related to employment, reports, and Workday, providing timely follow-up and solutions.
- Training and Education : Offer guidance and support to BYU personnel on how to properly utilize HR tools and resources, particularly in the context of student employment and Workday.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate records of compliance within Workday and Department of Homeland Security.
What qualifies you for this role :
Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience : Experience in HR or customer service roles, particularly with Workday or HRIS systems, is preferred. Experience in a call center environment is a plus.

Schedule : This is a 3 / 4-time position, requiring 28 hours per week. Flexible hours may be available depending on scheduling needs.
