Job Description
HR Ops Center Specialist
The HR Operations Specialist will provide HR support to the Supervisor in a call center setting, offering guidance and assistance to BYU administrators, faculty, and staff regarding student hiring processes, reporting requirements, and Workday system navigation. You will help ensure that student hiring and HR-related tasks are processed efficiently and accurately, while providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
What You Will Be Doing In This Position
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Experience in HR or customer service roles, particularly with Workday or HRIS systems, is preferred. Experience in a call center environment is a plus.

HR Ops Center Specialist
The HR Operations Specialist will provide HR support to the Supervisor in a call center setting, offering guidance and assistance to BYU administrators, faculty, and staff regarding student hiring processes, reporting requirements, and Workday system navigation. You will help ensure that student hiring and HR-related tasks are processed efficiently and accurately, while providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders.
What You Will Be Doing In This Position
- Call Center Support: Serve as the first point of contact for BYU administrators, faculty, and staff who have HR-related questions, particularly around student hiring processes and system usage.
- Student Hiring Assistance: Assist BYU personnel in navigating the steps for hiring student employees, ensuring that all required forms and processes are completed in a timely manner.
- Workday Support: Provide assistance with Workday HRIS, including helping users with data entry, report generation, and troubleshooting common Workday issues related to student employment and the Unified Collaborative Units across campus.
- Report Generation: Generate and distribute HR-related reports (student hiring, create positions, move workers etc.) from Workday, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with university policies.
- Problem Resolution: Help resolve issues related to student employment, reports, and Workday, providing timely follow-up and solutions.
- Training and Education: Offer guidance and support to BYU personnel on how to properly utilize HR tools and resources, particularly in the context of student employment and Workday.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of call center interactions, solutions provided, and any follow-up actions needed.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Experience in HR or customer service roles, particularly with Workday or HRIS systems, is preferred. Experience in a call center environment is a plus.

- Strong communication skills with the ability to assist and instruct others effectively.
- High level of attention to detail and organization.
- Proficiency in Workday or similar HRIS systems is highly preferred.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
