Job Description
Financial Manager
The Marketing & Global Supply Chain department is seeking a Financial Manager to lead financial operations and ensure fiscal integrity across our diverse programs and initiatives. This position plays a pivotal role in managing the department’s annual operating budget, providing financial oversight for 67 department accounts, and supporting two academic programs, two MBA tracks, full-time and adjunct faculty members, 8 student clubs, and 2 labs. You’ll also help oversee office management, security procedures, and purchasing processes to keep the department running smoothly. This is a 3/4-time (28-hr per week) onsite position.

Job Description
Financial Manager
The Marketing & Global Supply Chain department is seeking a Financial Manager to lead financial operations and ensure fiscal integrity across our diverse programs and initiatives. This position plays a pivotal role in managing the department’s annual operating budget, providing financial oversight for 67 department accounts, and supporting two academic programs, two MBA tracks, full-time and adjunct faculty members, 8 student clubs, and 2 labs. You’ll also help oversee office management, security procedures, and purchasing processes to keep the department running smoothly. This is a 3/4-time (28-hr per week) onsite position.
What You’ll Do In This Position
- Manage and monitor 67 departmental accounts, including endowments, operational and faculty accounts, and student club funds.
- Forecast expenses and income for both programs (Marketing and Global Supply Chain) at least once a semester.
- Review and approve purchasing and travel reports for faculty, labs, and student activities.
- Assist in invoicing, vendor payments, scholarships, and financial questions from the Dean’s Office and external partners.
- Train faculty, student club leaders, and lab managers on budgeting and financial compliance.
- Coordinate office team meetings and trainings and have one-on-one meetings with each team member.
- Oversee office supplies, equipment procurement, and workspace allocation.
- Manage office security procedures including key access, data, and purchasing card control.
What qualifies you for this role:
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field and one year of professional office experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Effective communicator both verbally and in writing
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field and 4 years of professional office experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Prior work experience on campus
