Operations Manager
We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at the Ballard Center, the world's largest university-based social impact program. This position oversees student employees, advisement team operations, and office management while serving as a member of the center's leadership team. This is a part-time (28 hours per week) on-site position

Job Description
Operations Manager
We are seeking an Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations at the Ballard Center, the world's largest university-based social impact program. This position oversees student employees, advisement team operations, and office management while serving as a member of the center's leadership team. This is a part-time (28 hours per week) on-site position
What You Will Be Doing In This Position
- Oversee human resources efforts including hiring, onboarding, and training for 200 student employees annually
- Manage the Advisement Team that guides approximately 500 students per year on social impact initiatives
- Supervise the Welcome Desk Team to ensure professional customer service and efficient operations
- Handle office management including spaces, equipment, supplies, and IT resources
- Plan and execute team building events, bi-monthly All Hands meetings, and training sessions
- Provide center leadership with actionable HR data and maintain training materials
What qualifies you for this role:
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years office management experience
- Training in Workday systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook)
- Ability to quickly learn new technology applications, processes, and procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring students
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years office and management experience
- Prior knowledge of BYU systems and resources, including Workday
- Experience with university financial services (journal entries, BOb, Simply Travel, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Teams, Box, and Canva
