Our patient population is a delight to care for. Teaching them while treating them is an important part of the practice of medicine here at the Student Health Center.
What you’ll do in this position:
Like anywhere else you might practice medicine, we need physicians who can accurately assess medical needs, recommend optimal treatments, answer questions, etc. We also need to do all of this with a Christ-centered focus. We need physicians who are willing to be teachers and consultants and who are willing to collaborate with other staff members to facilitate optimal results. The business of medicine also requires our clinician staff to chart findings and diagnoses, assist in coding care, etc.
What qualifies you for this role:
Required
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- A current M.D. or D.O. Utah Medical license and current DEA certification.
- Problem-solving/decision-making and cost-awareness skills.
- Documentation, planning, organizing, and computer skills.
- M.D. or D.O. degree with residency training and board certification in family medicine or Meds/Peds.
Preferred
- Primary care-focused assessment and treatment skills – with recent (3-5 years) experience in a high-volume (>25pts per day) clinical setting
Salary
$210,000.00 to $230,000.00
