Podcast Producer (Constant Wonder Podcast)
BYUradio is a podcast network that brings you the best and the brightest of the podcasting world. Our mission is to improve families and communities, illuminate the good in people, and celebrate both the wonder all around us and the incredible things we humans can accomplish when we choose to bridge divides.Our rich content library offers something for everyone, from lifestyle podcasts and sports programming to science podcasts, audio dramas, social issues podcasts, and more. Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly podcast for your next road trip, or an engaging conversation to keep you company on your drive home, BYUradio’s podcasts will keep you entertained and enlightened.
BYUradio is searching for a producer to work in the development and creation of podcast/audio content for the show Constant Wonder and several associated products. The goal of Constant Wonder is to model for our audience (and evoke in them) a sense of profound awe and sacred wonder that underlie spirituality. Production at BYUradio requires teamwork, people skills, storyboarding, scriptwriting, interviewing, hosting, editing, social media engagement, marketing, and student mentoring. A candidate should have a strong background in spoken-word media.

What You’ll Do In This Position
- Control all aspects of the creation, production, and development of the Constant Wonder podcast.
- Create and manage episode timelines and production schedules.
- Generate original show pitches and vet podcast guests and topics.
- Oversee communication with episode guests and write scripts.
- Ensure quality audio (and optional video) connection with guests during interviews.
- Coach and support the host during interviews and provide follow-up questions.
- Conduct interviews and edit raw interview audio.
- Collaborate with sound designers during post-production and prepare finished episodes for distribution.
- Generate web and social media copy and assets in accordance with best SEO practices.
- Participate in ongoing evaluation and improvement of the show.
- Develop and pitch new podcasts under the Constant Wonder umbrella.
- Lead communication around marketing of the podcast and work with the Marketing department to promote the shows.
- Train and mentor a team of student producers.

- Leadership skills, including modeling professional behavior.
- Ability to give constructive feedback, inspire the team, and hold team members accountable.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with little to no supervision.
- Team player with strong people, communication, PR, and negotiation skills.
- Experience in communications, media, project management, or education.
- Broadcast/podcast writing experience.
- Technical experience editing audio in Audition or ProTools.
- Podcast production experience.
- Social media marketing experience.
- Widely read in humanities, history, science, theory of awe and wonder.
- Bachelor’s degree in broadcast, film, humanities, or related field AND 5 years of experience in media production and development.
