Job Description
Part-Time Sales Associate: BYU Store
Job Overview:
This position is part of the BYU Store Sales Floor Team.
Employees are responsible for working specific mandatory events, as outlined below, and are not guaranteed a regular shift.
What you’ll do in this position:
The role begins with:
Training at the registers and progressing through specialized text and other various trainings.
Mandatory times you are hired to work:
Rental Check-in times that generally begin 2 weeks before a semester/term.
Text Rush times that begin at the start of semester/term and continues for generally 2 weeks.
Women's Conference and Education Week.
There are also opportunities to take on additional shifts, with supervisor's approval.
What qualifies you for this role:
Must be able to work a minimum of 100 hours per year Maximum 910 hours per year Must be able to work shifts with varied times. Ability to provide Incredible Service and Connect People to the Spirit of the Y, as outlined in the store's mission and vision. Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors.
Required:
A strong connection to the BYU community and its values, with a desire to share the spirit of the university with others through customer interactions. Reliability and punctuality. Ability to work as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Adherence to a professional dress code.
