Job Summary
The Child Care Assistant Director plays a pivotal role in supporting the overall management and operation of our child care facility. This position is responsible for assisting the Director in overseeing daily activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a nurturing and educational environment for children. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in education administration and experience working with students, contributing to the development of effective educational programs.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of daily operations of the child care center, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Collaborate with the Director to develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of students.
- Supervise staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their professional development.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Organize and participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and community outreach activities.
- Support the recruitment, hiring, and training of new staff members.
- Foster positive relationships among staff, parents, and children to create a cohesive community.
Skills
- A degree from a University in Education or related field is preferred.
- Strong background in higher education teaching or education administration is highly desirable.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Passion for early childhood education and commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.75 - $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends & holidays off
