Job Summary
Do you have a passion for working with children? Bright Beginnings Child Development Center, a ministry of Seward United Methodist Church, is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team. Bright Beginnings CDC serves children 6 weeks-school age. We are seeking part-time and full-time, compassionate, patient individuals for permanent and Summer employment. We offer competitive wages and flexible hours; holiday pay and paid time off is offered to full-time employees. On the job training is provided and we can help attain teacher qualification. Duties
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide care for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Implement early childhood education practices that support the developmental milestones of each child.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, and napping for younger children.
- Create a welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures.
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their individual needs.
Experience
- Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles is essential.
- Experience with preschool settings or babysitting is a plus.
- Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification is highly desirable. Willingness to obtain certification necessary.
- Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including those with disabilities or special needs.
