Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their emotional, social, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong understanding of classroom management and the ability to engage with children of various ages, including those with special needs. The Daycare Teacher will work closely with parents and staff to ensure each child's needs are met effectively.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques.
- Provide individual attention to children, especially those with disabilities or special education needs.
- Engage in daily activities such as storytelling, arts and crafts, and outdoor play to enhance children's learning experiences.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Administer first aid as necessary and maintain health and safety standards within the daycare setting.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience for all children.
Experience
- Proven experience in a daycare or educational setting is preferred.
- Strong skills in classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable.
- Background in infant care or babysitting is a plus.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is also beneficial and required after hire.
- A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their development is essential.
