What are the responsibilities and job description for the Older Infant Assistant Teacher position at Bright Beginnings Learning Center & Daycare?
Bright Beginnings is looking for an experienced, energetic, friendly team player for an infant room assistant teacher position. Our ideal teacher will be self motivated, able to multi-task, and think and move quickly. This job requires someone who is easy to get along with and can adapt to change well.
Specifically, we are looking for someone who:
- Demonstrates experience and interest in working with children
- Assist in different activities that help stimulate students’ physical, social and emotional growth
- Demonstrates a strong knowledge of appropriate practices in early childhood development
- Demonstrates the ability to work well with children
- Is physically able to perform the job, including playing on the floor, running around, and lifting
- Attends to children's basic needs - feeding, diaper changes, playing, art projects
- Cleans and maintains classroom area
- Has effective and strong communication skills (orally and written)
- Demonstrates success in working as a member of a team
- Willing to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the program
- Willing to accept supervision and suggestion
- Completes CPR and First Aid training
- Completes professional development courses each year
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
