As a Communications Assistant, you’ll help coordinate media outreach, assist with content creation, manage communications projects, and support social media strategies. Responsibilities:
- Assist with drafting press releases, media pitches, and other written communications
- Coordinate the distribution of communications materials to the media, stakeholders, and clients
- Manage and update the company’s social media profiles, including writing and scheduling posts
- Monitor media coverage and track media mentions
- Help with the creation of presentations, newsletters, and other internal/external communications materials
- Conduct research on media outlets, industry trends, and competitor messaging
- Provide administrative support for communication initiatives, including managing timelines and tracking project progress
- Assist with the preparation of event materials, including press kits, signage, and promotional content
- Collaborate with team members to ensure content is engaging, on-brand, and aligned with overall strategy
- Support crisis communications efforts as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
- 1 years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing (internships or academic projects considered)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to proofread materials
- Familiarity with social media platforms and content management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social)
