What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher in Child Care Center position at Bright Eyes Community Child Care Center?
Looking to add a friendly, capable and dependable assistant teacher to our team. Compassion for children and co-workers is a must.
Experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
The position has some flexibility in schedule. We could work with candidates who would like to work between 28-40 hours per week. Afternoon/evening hours required. We can be flexible with morning hours.
Duties
Creating a calm and safe environment for the children in your care.
Following the direction of the lead teacher(s) in the classroom and supporting the needs of the classroom.
Maintaining high standards of care for your students.
Effective communication with students, parents and co-workers.
Learning the ropes, and filling in where needed.
Requirements
Ability to pass an FBI background check (prior to starting) and a CPS background check.
The results of a Tuberculosis test prior to start date.
Willing to complete CPR/FA training as well as 13 hours of online training courses within first 30 days of hire.
Ability to take direction and guidance.
Ability to follow multi part instructions.
Ability to play on the floor, pick up 25 lbs frequently.
