- As a Child Care Teacher, you will :
- Create and lead activities based on your observations of the childrens interests and needs.
- Communicate daily with parents. Document and share the important milestones in their childs day.
- Keep the classroom safe and clean by following important procedures and guidelines.
- Requirements :
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required
- Child Psychology, with 12 credits specific to Early Childhood
- Child Development, with 12 credits specific to Early Childhood
- General Education, with 12 credits specific to Early Childhood
- Early Childhood Bachelor's or Master's Degree
- Elementary Education Bachelor's or Master's Degree
- N-6 Elementary Education
- Special Education, Students with Disabilities (B-2) or Students with Disabilities (1-6)
- OR NYS Certifications in the areas below are acceptable :
- Nursery 6thGrade
- Early Childhood (Birth 2ndGrade)
- Childhood Education (Grades 1-6)
- Special Education-N-12thGrade
- Students with Disabilities Birth 2ndGrade
- Students with Disabilities 1st-6thGrade
- Pre-K 2ndGrade
