What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director, Strategic Partnerships position at Bright Horizons?
This is a Remote position available in the United States.
The Director, Strategic Partnerships has responsibility for managing and growing the strategic relationships that deliver care for Bright Horizons Back-Up care. They manage a budget of approximately
$150-200 million in budget. The position ensures that Back-Up has sufficient supply of care to meet demand and that this supply meets the quality standards for Back-Up providers. The position plans for future growth needs, including identifying new relationships and new types of strategic partnerships to accomplish business objectives.
The position also has overall P&L and strategic responsibility for the $30 million EFS line of business. This includes strategic product direction, supplier relationships, technology decisions, and working with marketing and sales to develop go to market strategies.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Determining provider strategy to meet the needs of the business overall.
- Manage the most strategic relationship that deliver 80% of Back-Up Care capacity
- Analyzing the needs and performance of markets and providers
- Negotiating with the providers to set rates and contract terms
- Communicating with the providers to find solutions to business needs and to improve performance, where needed.
- Work with client relations and clients to build plans for network improvement.
- Determine overall strategy for EFS and EFS partners
- Manage a budget of 150-200 million
- Overall P&L responsibility for Enhanced Family Supports, including revenue, provider strategy, and overall costs including development, technology, provider, and other areas.
- 7 years of experience in managing P&L and strategic direction of a business unit.
- 7 years of experience in vendor management and large contract negotiations
- Bachelor's Degree or an additional 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree
- Master's Degree
- Strong analytical skills
- Results driven leader
- Strong negotiating skills
- Strong communicator comfortable with presenting to senior level leaders
- Strong business and financial acumen
- Willing to challenge the status quo, experience creating new solutions
