WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Ultrasound Technologist - Part Time
Location: Elk Grove
Days/Hours: Monday- Friday 5pm-10pm
WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE:
- Document patient's medical history prior to any examination
- Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment
- Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties, providing explanation of imaging process and addressing any questions or concerns
- Carefully position patients in order to obtain correct imaging
- Responsibly ensure patient is comfortable and safe throughout their experience
- Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies
- Use sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures
- Document ultrasound services by accurately recording data in the patient's chart
- Effectively communicate medical data, patient history and any related information to staff and appropriate physician
- Provide education, training and direction to new technologists
- Perform all job related functions as a Ultrasound Technologist, including all Ultrasound imaging procedures according to department standard in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance without assistance
- Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions
QUALITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS:
- Quick, accurate decision making
- Ability to perform effectively under stressful situations, working in fast-paced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized
- Technical, extensive knowledge and skilled expertise in ultrasound technology
- Ability to integrate diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results, and medical histories to adapt sonographic examinations as necessary
- Effective, composed communication to address patient's questions
- Interpersonal skills, patient focused attitude with passion and sensitivity towards their care
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
- ARDMS and/or RVT registered with prior clinical ultrasound experience
- Proficiency running advanced Ultrasound studies independently
- Experienced in Abdomen/Small Parts, OB/GYN, Vascular
- Prior experience favorable in Breast imaging
- CPR Certification
