Sr. Integration Engineer (Java, FHIR, HL7, AWS) - Healthcare Interoperability

Client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Integration Engineer (Java, FHIR, HL7, AWS) with Healthcare Interoperability to join our team in modernizing and migrating healthcare integration platforms from private cloud and on-premises infrastructure to AWS. This role focuses on expanding the CareConnect Integration Platform and enhancing healthcare interoperability standards, including HL7v2 and FHIR, to deliver innovative solutions to clients.

Project Goals

• Transition private cloud and on-premises infrastructure to AWS.
• Expand client deliverables through the CareConnect Integration Platform.
• Design and implement solutions using healthcare integration standards such as HL7v2 and FHIR.
• Modernize existing workflows and build scalable, efficient solutions.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in the full software development lifecycle for complex projects.
• Design, develop, and deliver robust software solutions independently or collaboratively.
• Work closely with business teams to gather requirements and implement integration solutions.
• Build and enhance systems to support HL7v2, FHIR, and other healthcare standards.
• Drive Agile development processes and foster structured project delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in collaboration with the broader development team.
• Lead onsite and offshore delivery teams, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Establish metrics-driven goals and communicate status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Support on-call schedules as required to maintain seamless operations.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in software development.
• Proficiency in Java (Kotlin is a plus).
• Expertise in service development and integration platforms.
• Deep understanding of healthcare integration standards, including HL7v2 and FHIR.
• Proven ability to estimate, deliver high-quality software on time, and communicate effectively.
• Strong organizational and planning skills to meet goals and objectives.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud migrations.
• Background in the health and human services or post-acute care sectors.
• Experience with enterprise EHR solutions.
