Early Childhood Educator

Job Overview:
We are seeking a professional and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will play a critical role in shaping the minds and lives of young children. You will create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and develop important skills.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities
- Provide a safe and supportive learning environment for children
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to promote positive behavior
- Assess individual student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Implement strategies for early intervention and support for students with special needs
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress

Skills:
- Experience working with students in an educational or childcare setting
- Strong lesson planning skills and documented observational skills of children
- Excellent classroom management abilities to create a positive learning environment
- Proficient in lesson planning and curriculum development
- Effective communication skills to interact with students, parents/guardians, and colleagues
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Familiarity with developmental delays and modifications

Qualifications:
-Child Development Certificate required or be working towards CDC

-Required Child Growth and Development (first class at CNM)
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood preferred but not required

-Familiarity with the NM FOCUS program, experienced at lesson planning
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to pass Background check clearance
