K-12 Tutor All Subjects (Math, Science, Reading, Writing, Language)

We are hiring tutors for all subject matters (math, science, reading, writing, language, SAT/ACT) and grade levels K-12! This is a great opportunity for anyone with a passion for learning and a desire to have some flexibility in hours. This is a part-time, independent contractor job with hours based on your availability and student bookings. We offer very competitive hourly rates, with a pay-scale based on percentage of the hourly cost for students.

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual and/or in-person lessons to individual students for one hour each. Priority for those based in the Boulder Metro Area (the majority of our tutoring sessions are in-person) and Boulder Suburbs as we expand to this region!
• Communicate with student and parents regularly to provide progress updates and address any concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Motivate students to reach their full potential both within the subject material and as learners.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, results-driven, and self-starter individual who enjoys working with children and young adults to develop learning skills and content knowledge.

• Strong subject-matter expertise and a passion to help students becoming critical thinkers and independent learners.
• Understanding of Zoom technology for online lesson bookings.
• (For elementary and middle school tutoring) Must be at least a high school student.
• (For high school tutoring) Must hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or be in progress of a Bachelor's degree.
• (For college tutoring) Must hold a Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Some exceptions made on case-by-case basis with relevant subject matter experience or expertise.
• Strong organizational skills and self-starter mentality.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to a variety of learning styles.
• Desire to help students succeed.
