Child Care Teacher

Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, focusing on their developmental needs. This role involves caring for children, managing classroom activities, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. The Child Care Teacher will work closely with children, parents, and staff to ensure a safe and engaging educational experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care for all children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood education.
• Manage classroom activities, including playtime, learning sessions, and nap schedules.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all children, including those with disabilities.
• Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and daily activities.
• Conduct regular assessments of children's development and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures.
• Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive educational experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in toddler care or infant care as well as pre-school age preferred.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles is essential.
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain an organized learning environment.
• Previous experience working in child care is a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with children of varying abilities, including those with disabilities.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and fostering their growth.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
